Case for SUpport

When our project is complete we expect the following outcomes:

• Children and adults of all ages will be served with active recreational opportunities in our community.
• Our community will be healthier with more community-led options for exercise.
• Everyone in our community, regardless of their income, will have access to free recreation that they have wanted to see in our community.
• Our community will be stronger in its social fabric because of the social nature of the park activities available in the park.
• Children in the community will see tennis, pickleball, biking, and skateboarding as new, life-long recreation options, including with the potential for clubs and teams.
• Children who do not participate in organized sports in our community will have an outlet in expressive sports.
• Current and future families will see our robust recreational activities as a reason to raise children in Ligonier.
• There will be an increase in economic activity by those who choose to come to the area to use the facilities at Friendship Park, as the local coffee shops, restaurants, and shops.
• We will be supporting our local ecosystem with environmentally-friendly design choices, such as native plants and a rain garden.
